Privacy Policy
View Source Online is built to be private by default. This page explains exactly what happens to the data you submit.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. We do not require an account, and we do not set advertising or tracking cookies. The URL you submit is used to perform a single fetch on our server and is discarded when that request completes.
URLs and source code
Submitted URLs and the HTML we retrieve are held in memory for the duration of the analysis only. They are never written to a database, never associated with your session, and never sold or shared. There is no analysis history to delete because none is created.
Server logs
Like any web service, our infrastructure may generate short-lived operational logs (IP address, timestamp, requested path) for security and debugging. These logs are not linked to the content of the pages you analyze, and they are rotated regularly.
Third parties
We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social trackers. Fonts and static assets are served from our own domain.
Your responsibilities
Only analyze pages you are permitted to access. View Source Online retrieves publicly available HTML in the same way a browser would; we do not bypass authentication or paywalls.
